The Pain Inside It is a particular
Pain when you lose a child It
Is like no other
You cannot take a pill to
Help you feel better You
Cannot take to your bed and
Find One day you are fine
This pain it encircles your heart and
Grips it tight It blankets the soul and
Places a cloud over all you do It
Shrouds the mind and it’s hard to think
It takes over your life…..If you
Let it. You can fight this pain by
Talking about it with others and
Let time do it’s bit but not by itself it won’t
Approach this Pain Inside and embrace
It Make it a part of who you are and let it
Become a part of you for it will always be
There So you’re better off knowing it well
I do not know how I

Have become more than I was

They always leaned to watch for us

Who had such foolish care,
The long way home would seem more safe,
Because they waited there.
Their thoughts were all so full of us,
